I thought about making this a rap, but decided against it.
Jacob and I met at 12N to pick up equipment. Sarah showed up at 1230.
We set everything up downstairs. Everyone keeping busy.
While we waited on talent, we shot an insert of the microwave.
Ed and Ilana showed up at 1pm, so we shot some things with her. I had difficulty running the set without a shotlist. Jacob had all the marks on his script, but there wasn’t much to go off of. If I had seen a shotlist or a storyboard the shoot could have been more efficient. We had to go back to old camera set-ups to get certain shots, which could have been avoided with some preplanning.
Otherwise, the shoot seemed to go pretty fast. Will arrived and we got all of the two-shots. The actors were great. They were very responsive to suggestions.
Ed miked the scene. He was a good person to have on crew. Jocular yet professional.
Sarah did her part lighting.
Jacob knew what he wanted. He explained his ideas clearly and took care of the camera.
I mostly ran monitor, checked the actors, kept the set quiet (noisy roomates), and made sure Jacob got what he wanted.
Fulfilling shoot. We wrapped early. Jacob and I got the equipment to the lab by 4.
